Although the Elvish languages Sindarin and Quenya are the most famous and the most developed of the languages that Tolkien invented for his Secondary World, they are by no means the only ones.

Westron (Westron: Adûni, Sindarin: Annúnaid), or the Common Speech (Westron: Sôval Phârë), is a language of Middle-earth. It comes from Adûnaic and the natives languages of Middle-earth. In the Third Age, Westron is used as the common language, spoken by most peoples.

Although the Elvish languages Sindarin and Quenya are the most famous and the most mature languages of those that Tolkien invented for his mythology, they were not near to the only ones.

Seeing that High Valyrian from Game of Thrones is being taught here in duolingo, it is only fitting enough to teach elvish as well (specifically sindarin). Elvish is not only a beautiful language, but a historical one as well. It has touched the minds and the hearts of people all over the world.

Orcs are infamous for their willingness (even eagerness) to eat other humanoids, and sometimes even other orcs. At some level, the practice is a matter of survival—eating what food is available to them. In lean times, humanoid slaves are more important to an orc tribe as livestock than they are for their labor.

Reared in most settlements, the unsophisticated diet and hardy nature of swine makes them ideal for the often marginal conditions Orcish settlements thrive in. Eaten either as-is or processed into cured goods (bacon is especially popular) and sausage, swine is one of the few meats Orcs do not eat raw.

I voted “orcs eat human meat only if there is no other food”, but I’m open to more discussion. IIRC Orcs have never expressed desire to consume human flesh nor eaten any during their raids, in any campaign I’ve played. They hunt, they even farm the land, they take from others what they lack.

Orc Draught is an invigorating drink used by Orcs, which inflicts damage when drunk but restores some hunger and grants speed and strength buffs. It is essentially Sauron’s imitation of elven Miruvor.
